This week will examine the wisdom of the Lord
August 8 – “Draw Near”
James 4:1-12
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Are we willing to humble ourselves and drawn near to the Lord? We will look at what it takes to be near to God.
August 15 – “A Faith Filled Future”
James 4:13-17
According to Jeremiah, God has plans to give us a future with hope. James provides insights to arriving at that place.
August 22 – “Fat Farmers”
James 5:1-6
James sharply rebukes the injustices wealthy and cries out on the behalf of the oppressed. We will see that issues of wealth and justice are equally as prevalent today as they ever have been.
August 29 – “Patience and Faithfulness”
James 5:7-12
Do I really have to wait to reap the harvest? This week we will learn about the character and values of the Lord.
September 5 – “Faith Healing”
James 5:13-20
How do we pray in faith? How do we see God move in power? James gives us valuable insights as we conclude our “Journey with James.” It will provide a great transition to our next series, “Cruisin’ with Christ: Vehicles of Prayer”
